Every company tries to reel you in with free water testing in hopes of selling you overpriced equipment.
One problem with water testing is, it can't predict the future. You never know when bacteria may be introduced to the water system. It's best to have the proper filtration in place before this happens.
If you have a well, you are especially vulnerable to water contamination at any time, and should be prepared with a UV water filtration system.
***well water should be tested regularly by the homeowner at an approved lab***
If you are on a public water system like SAWS, their website tells you exactly what's in the water ... and it's not good.
All plumbers and water treatment specialists know the water in Texas is full of things we don't want in our appliances, on our clothes, and most of all in our bodies.
The water quality report on SAWS and other city websites tells us there is lead, uranium, radium, chlorine, runoff from fertilizer and even runoff from septic tanks in our water!
Although we are thankful to live in the beautiful state of Texas and have relatively safe water, we really should avoid all contaminants possible.
Call for a free estimate for safe, refressing, delicious water!
